Will C. Wood's Wildcat Stadium

WILDCAT STADIUM GRAND OPENING

Stadium Opening

THANK YOU VACAVILLE!

Will C. Wood's Wildcat Stadium opened May 3, 2018, welcoming home WCW Wildcats to their very own track, soccer pitch, PE complex, and football field.

Built in 1969 as a middle school, the campus, located at 998 Marshall Way was not originally designed to house a football complex or nearly 1,700 students. Fast forward to a feasibility student done in 2013 and the passing of Vacaville Bond Measure A in 2014, and the long awaiting dream of Wood's very own stadium became possible.

Since that long-awaited grand opening, Will C. Wood has hosted track meets, soccer games, football games, and graduation commencement ceremonies for the first time in school history. Thank Vacaville voters and taxpayers!

CEQA

The design and California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) process was completed. The CEQA process is necessary to identify any possible environmental impacts and actions necessary to mitigate those impacts. The CEQA analysis was conducted in conjunction with the design process of the project.
