The first priority for Measure A projects was revolutionizing the technology available to students and staff.

21st Century Learning With Measure A

Measure A modernized school sites are currently receiving a Front Row Voice Amplification Sound System and Epson 695wi Interactive Short Throw Digital Projector installed in each classroom, with a wall mounted touch screen control unit. These sites currently include Willis Jepson Middle School and Vacaville High School. Currently many elective classes at the secondary level are in the process of receiving class sets of chromebooks for student use.

Measure A bond funding has also allowed VUSD to provide a digital device for every student in the classroom. Students often use learning tools and resources on the internet. Classrooms feature interactive white boards and projectors for instruction. Developing technological skills is an important aspect of student success after high school. State standard tests are also administers on computers.

Students use Google classroom tools for projects, homework, and collaboration. Students connect with teachers and view assignments through School Loop. Parent can register for School Loop and use this great tool to keep up with assignments, progress, and school happenings as well. More about School Loop registration.

Technology Available in VUSD Classrooms

Primary Grades: TK, K, and 1 st,, including special education: Class set of I-Pads or Chromebooks, depending on site preference. High Definition HoverCam Document Camera, Mounted Digital Projector, Printer and Teacher Workstation. Classrooms typically have a few student desktop computer workstations as well.

Grades 2-6, including special education: Class set of Chromebooks, High Definition HoverCam Document Camera, Mounted Digital Projector, Printer and Teacher Workstation. Classrooms typically have a few student desktop computer workstations as well.

Grades 7-12: Class set of Chromebooks in all core subjects (including English, Math, Social Studies, Science and Foreign Language) along with special education classes. High Definition Hover Cam Document Camera, Mounted Digital Projector, Printer and Teacher Workstation. Classrooms typically have a few desktop computer workstations as well.
